Launch a Legend — Campaign Terms

1. About the campaign
Launch a Legend is a public nomination campaign run by Orbit2Orbit to celebrate teachers who have inspired curiosity in science, technology, engineering, or discovery. Nominated educators ("Legends") may appear on the public leaderboard and receive a commemorative prize package as described in the "How it works" section of this site.
2. Who can nominate
Anyone aged 13 or over with a valid email address may submit a nomination. You must have a genuine, lawful basis to share the nominated teacher's name, school and contact email — for example, you were taught by them, you are a colleague, or you are a parent of a current/former student.
If you are under 13 years old, please make sure you have permission from your parent or guardian before continuing, and use their email address when submitting a nomination or vote.
3. Teacher consent
Nominated teachers are contacted privately by email and only appear on the public leaderboard after they explicitly accept. Photo, bio and quote remain private until the teacher provides them. Teachers may withdraw at any time by replying to the consent email, by signing into their teacher dashboard and turning their submission off, or by contacting us.
4. Voting (Science Points)
Each Science Point represents one verified vote. Votes require email verification and one vote per email per teacher is permitted. We reserve the right to remove votes or nominations we reasonably believe are fraudulent, automated, abusive, or submitted in bad faith.
5. Prizes
Eligible Legends receive a framed certificate confirming they gassed an Orbit2Orbit Pathfinder mission, a custom mission patch encased in the certificate with their name woven into the official artwork, and a spare wearable patch. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash equivalent. Orbit2Orbit may substitute items of equivalent value if necessary.
6. Acceptable use
Do not submit false, defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content. Do not attempt to interfere with the voting system, scrape the site, or impersonate another person.
7. Liability
The campaign is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orbit2Orbit accepts no liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation.
